Where one might want cash on the spot, the other may be just as happy to get an iPod or the ability to drive a nice car.

In the end, life as a gigolo isn’t likely to be particularly more or less glamorous than life as an escort, just far less productive and lower paying. So sure you may have thought of it but remember, if you did that you might get burned out on sex and lose interest in the hobby altogether. Screw that.
