The internet is lousy with dating websites, many of which use ‘dating’ as a loose catch all term for sites where you desperately find someone in your town who is willing to fuck. For all of eHarmony’s drivel about scientifically matching personality-lacking asshats from their commercials you can guarantee a good chunk of the people on that site just want ass, too. Ashely Madinson’s gimmick, if you haven’t heard, is that they cater to the unfaithful. They want you to have an affair. If you’re married, hop aboard, find another married person in town and get busy. That’s the gist of what they’re doing. SAure, every other site has married people on it looking to get laid too, but Ashley Madison puts that put in front like a badge of pride while it’s simply an incidental aspect of those other sites.

However, unlike those other sites, Ashley Madison is apparently trying to stick it to escorts. Why pay a hooker when you can fuck for free? It’s a simple enough question and seems like a decent enough hook for an ad. Also seems like a crock of mighty horseshit.

Ashley Madison is a site pretty much designed for married men and women to have affairs. There are singles there too but no one is giving them press for that. So your option are pay for sex with an escort or slog through profile after profile of women sneaking around on their husband till you find someone who may or may not be into what you’re looking for, hope her husband doesn’t find out, then either have her to your place, or go pay for a hotel room since going to her place seems like it’s out of the questions. Hmm…

Picking through the site offers up a lot of other interesting bits of information, like the prevalence of the word “sugar daddy” and we all know what that means. You’re not paying for sex with an escort, you’re buying shit for another man’s wife so she’ll have sex with you. What kind of stuff? One woman from Michigan will need a rental car once a week, white wine, a cell phone and a monthly all expense paid trip to a casino. Wow, what a deal!

Stop paying for a hooker. 1 million women wanting free sex. That’s what the ad says. The tone screams that you’re a loser for going to see an escort when you could get it for free, but it misses the point by a New York mile at the same time. An escort doesn’t want you to take her to the casino once a month. She doesn’t want you to get her a car or a cell phone. She doesn’t want to have a vegan dinner first, and she doesn’t need you to call between 5 and 6 pm and keep it quiet so her husband doesn’t find out. You know ahead of time if she’s into anal and if she’ll do some BBBJCIM too. An escort’s website won’t make you pay for credits so you can actually speak to her in the hopes that maybe she’ll reply and, even if she does, that she’ll then have sex with you.
