If you peruse the forums likely you’ve noticed more than one thread pop up about our little blue friend Viagra. Since it’s debut in the late 90’s, Viagra has been hailed as the savior of sex and the end of many marriages due to oversexed ancient old men looking for tail. Initially the drug was, and is, supposed to a prescription only sort of deal; used to treat erectile dysfunction in men who, for whatever reason, couldn’t get it up anymore. However, within probably an hour of the drug’s release some dude with no wang issues figured it’d be fun to try just to get a raging hard on without any work. The forum posts on the issue pretty much relate to that latter scenario. There’s a lot of curiosity out there from guys who don’t really need the drug wondering if it’s worth it to give it a try as a way to enhance their sexual experiences. Why waste time with a provider trying to get turned on when you can show up with ready made wood and fuck for a straight hour, right? Well, it may not be so simple.
Right off the bat, Viagra and other drugs like Cialis are prescription medications. Prescription aren’t just the result of a doctor giving you the OK therefore making it cool for you to get the same thing on the street and just cut out the middle man, as there are other health concerns to take into account. For instance, one of the first known issues with Viagra was the way it interacted with heart medications in people with existing heart conditions. How did it interact? It fucked those people up. Badly. The last thing you want to do is get a boner that blows up your chest.
There has also been research to show that you don’t even need an existing or at least diagnosed heart condition to be in some danger from using Viagra, especially if you take it too frequently. Some patients on Viagra experienced abnormal heart rhythms after taking the drug and if you then take the time to engage in sex you put your heart under additional stress. Combine that with a lack of oxygen to the heart which is a concern for people with heart issues during sex and you may be fucking yourself in the bad way.
Viagra has also been linked to lung issues and should be avoided by anyone with a predisposition to bleeding lungs. Don’t know if you have a predisposition? Is it worth the risk to find out?
Other potential side effects include sudden hearing loss, impaired vision, loss of vision, erections that do not go down and become incredibly painful, strokes and heart attacks.
The ladies aren’t escaping this without troubles either. One study showed 15 in 100 women whose partners had used Viagra came down with bladder infections. So whatever Viagra does to your dick, it apparently shoots it out in an infections way into your lady friend as well.
In a fun twist, there’s also research to show that Viagra doesn’t actually do anything beyond placebo in men already fully capable of erections. Psychiatrists who have studied it say many men claim that Viagra allowed them to have sex for up to five hours with many orgasms and though there’s not much doubt cast on the claim that it happened, there is doubt that Viagra is responsible as physiologically it’s not really doing anything for those who don’t need it. In the end, Viagra and other ED drugs are meant to be prescribed by doctors to people who need them. Doctors who know and understand the risks and can make you aware as well. If you don’t need Viagra, you just don’t need it and taking it’s not really going to do much to help you out. Best to play it safe and stick with tequila. Not for you, for her.
