Ashley gets her most points here for perseverance. She was coming to me (from farther away than I knew) when she texted me to say there was an accident on I45 and traffic was backed up about 20 minutes. Been there, done that, and I wouldn't have blamed her if she turned around at that point and went home. But she kept at it, arriving about 35 minutes late. Anyone who has been trapped in this kind of a logjam knows how helpless and frustrating it is. What a sweetheart she was to keep coming!

Ashley arrived, and I offered water, which she declined. She apologized for being so late. Silly girl...it wasn't her fault. She hasn't let the traffic put her in a bad mood, either. We chit-chat for a while to get comfortable, then retire BCD.

I called Ashley's number, but she didn't pick up, and her mailbox was full, so I couldn't leave a message. I sent a text message, and she responded. We set a time, and I agreed to call her back when I got to the area. But when I arrived in the area, she wasn't picking up again. I continued to call until she picked up. She was running late, so I rented the room and got ready. She showed up about 15 minutes later.
