The problem is when I mention NR to my clients they all say they have never heard of it. 90% of my clients say I saw your ad on BP and I do advertise on other sites so this is a great topic I have wondered the same thing. BP has restricted things so much that now you cannot list your website address on your ad they have removed them all.

I dont use BP; it's too unreliable and no reviews. I have looked at BP in the past, but when I researched any ads that looked interesting I found they were also on other sites that included reviews. I like NR for this Forum, but it doesn't have much of a presence in the West where I live. So I use another local site that includes reviews. When I travel Southeast, I like NR. I'm also going to Chicago next week, so I'll check NR ads for that area.

NR is a good choice, Eros is another. CityVibe is a third option. On the west coast, Redbook seems popular. Just throwing out some options.

IMHO (and please let's not rehash this particular point again), the issue with CL and BP is that they allow advertising of non-hobby stuff too. That makes them more visible to mainstream public and as such, more likely a target. Ex "Honest Hun, I was looking for a job, I was looking for a used lawnmower, I was checking out garage sales, I never met to click on the Escort section." My only point is that I think the days of listing escort-type services in mixed public websites are dwindling.

You're right but don't forget what happened to escorts.com. Site's based in the US will also be knocked down. I think Eros is expensive, at least that's what I've been told and cityvibe is only good in a couple of cities.

I updated "Plan C" in my email signature line so that guys will know where to find my ad.

I like posting on Eros and it ain't really that expensive because its enough with one add> Unlike when i post on BP where i have to post several times a day and in the end of the month end up spending more than that one time fee i spent on Eros.

BP is too much of a risk around these parts. P411 is where I go.

Of course there are the four private local sites in the valley.
I am sure membership for these site would go up.
Only thing is as much as those guys who run those may not want the exposure.

I don't know about you but I don't get enough business from preferred 411 and local review boards to stay in business... If I did, I wouldn't be purchasing ads.

I believe bigdoggie already doesn't have a chance. Anyone been there recently? Gotta pull back the cobwebs just to get in.

I get most of my clients from there, i just post on BP in certain states i travel to.

I only see one site getting more popular.

I make sure I tell my clients about NR, most have never heard of it. Everybody says they saw my ad on BP. I am on Preferred 411 and date-check never had a client from either one.

I think alot of it is putting the word out.Before i started i did not no of any sites then i only looked at c.l and b.p because i thought that was it.
When i started talking to some of the providers they thought TeR was the only one out there.
But as we see from Jenna maybe they just dont say they are on here but they really do check it out.

Unless I'm mistaken, p411 and datecheck aren't really a place to go to find company. They are sites that some providers use in order to verify that a hobbyist is legit. Do ladies sign up for those sites looking for business?

That is the primary purpose of those sites JJ, but many (myself included) also peruse the listings to see if anyone catches our eye.

Okay soooo..This is a good forum question, Im pretty sure BP is going down soon..Ive stopped advertised on it altogether..(well I might actually post an ad or 2 for the upcoming weekend ) then after that its a wrap...I think its waaaay to high profile as have a really hard time trusting the reliability of who responds to my ads from that site...
I refer my clients to this site (NR) & a lot are new to the idea of it etc..but if you do a google search looking for providers this is 1 of the 1st 3 links listed...sooo Im hopeful for its success..I like the way its setup with the forum (kind of like TER)...
City Vibe has a new option where clients can log on with a google # & post themselves..(I REALLY REALLY LIKE that option)..Ive seen that bigdoggie is pretty popular, its just a bit overwhelming (FOR ME)...

The only advantage I saw to BP is that it is national and free to the hobbyist. The site I normally use (RB)is great for the Northwest where I live but when I travel it doesn't do me any good. Right now I'm in Iowa but I dont get here often enough for pay for a ter membership, and NR doesn't have a presence in that part of the country. But now with the new BP posting rules, there is so little info that I have to take a risk in a pretty much blind call or skip hobbying.

Since NR also doesn't have ads for the Northwest, what would you all recommend for a good national site that includes reviews?

There aren't really many players left. Depending on where you are there are often local boards. BP was good because you knew who was available simply by who was posting at the time you were looking for action. The ultimate tool for those who don't do research.

The only suggestion I can give you is to get out of Iowa as quickly as you can. (No offense intended to any Hawkeyes out there, but c'mon - Iowa in December?)

LOL, someone thinks that by ripping off the design of CL people are going to magically go and post there. CL was so huge because it was the first of its kind. The site above has no real ads and looks like one of a thousand other sites trying to capitalize on the downfall of CL. My bet, it will disappear within a year.

That,s a very good ?....well before the internet I always use the local newspaper az republic and I got more seroius callers calling and mature callers as well and I still do use the oldset way of adv. from time to time ....Try it you may like it its a little pricey ...but it pays for it self ..anita

well... it's finding clients for me.. or should i say clients are finding me on it.

So for the past few days I've been visiting in Florida so I checked BP for the Tampa area. As I think I mentioned in a previous post, I was in Illinois and Iowa the week before Xmas and looking at BP ads there.

I am amazed at the difference in ad leniency between states. In the midwest, next to no info other than her name, number, and a fully dressed pic. In Florida, it's like there has been no change. Prices are common, there's info about services, and while there's no nudity in pics they they are quite revealing so you certainly know what you are getting.

Does anyone know if BP posting rules vary by state?
