I hope someone comes across this post who has encountered this issue and has a solution. I think I'm probably in a unique situation in that my girl is a non-FS provider. While she never does oral or has intercourse with her clients, they do touch her and or sometimes lick her. (This is definitely not something that everyone gets to do, but it does happen probably during each day she works at some point.) So, I was just reading another forum and noticed that someone pointed out that inserting something into the vagina (fingers, in this case) that are covered with lube (massage creme in this case) that contains glycerin can lead to yeast infections.

My girl has in fact had the smell of a yeast infection down there- sometimes more than others- in the last few months. I've heard this specific condition referred to as a form of vaginitis (it's two words and I forget the other one).

Does anyone know what can be taken either orally or as a suppository (vaginal) that can alleviate this condition? I know, it sounds too as though the solution is to try to really limit the amount of touching inside the pussy with fingers that have been coated with the glycerin-based massage creme.

(BTW- my girl is a sensual massage provider, and one of the best. No oral or FS, but as she says, you won't even miss it.)

Thanks for your assistance on this issue.

Ok, first of all, yeast is a fungus which scientists call Candida and the specific type of fungus which is usually responsible for vaginitis is Candida Albicans.  Scientists estimate that between 20 and 50% of women have some amount of yeast in their vagina.

Vaginitis is an inflammation of the vagina and about 75% of women will report having it at some point in their lives.  Vaginitis can be caused by a number of different infections including bacteria like gonorrhea or yeast (Candida). So a vaginal yeast infection is most commonly referred to as vaginal Candidiasis.  Is that the condition you were told that your girl had?

So, assuming that she indeed has a yeast infection, this can be treated with antifungal medicines which can either be applied in and around the vagina or in pill form. Some of the better known antifungal medications used are clotrimazole (Lotrimin), miconazole (Monistat), and terconazole (Terazol 3). All three of these are available as both oral and topical medications.

Finally, in my research it said that yeast infections are tough to diagnose and that the symptoms are often the same as serious STD’s so you should really encourage your girl to go and get herself checked out by a pro.

Hope this helps.

This can easily be solved by 1) having the client use an alchohol based hand sanitizer before he pokes his fingers in. 2) insert a small naturual sea sponge that has been moistened with apple cider vinegar in side the vagina. Yeast don't do well in acidic enviorments, and 3) Make sure that you eat yogurt with live cultures at least three times a week. I hope that will take care of it for you. I haven't had a yeast infection since 1996.

Great reply BibBilly. Maybe an "Ask the Doctor" forum might be a great addition to the site?

I think the doctor addition would be a good one too. Or maybe just a couple of sticky posts?

They would have to add some type of disclaimer of course but could be a helpful forum for both hobbiest and providers.

I thought that inserting something acidic into the vagina would wreak havoc on the PH levels. I'm surprised to hear that your cure has been so effective but then again I'm not a doctor!

I've never heard of the apple cider vinegar thing; will have to ask my GYN when I see her on Thursday.

There is always yeast in a woman, but it's about balance. Yogurt does help, though.

I know that if you go from Greek to the kitty, or if there's any cross-contamination, the ladies can get a myriad of conditions, like bacterial vaginosis. I've played with many providers, gone to oral, and have actually ceased playtime right then and there. I don't like to go down on a lady and think that they're baking a bread loaf down there.

Checking with the doctor is always best, though. Smiling

Nothing worse than going down on a loaf of baking bread!
