TER is a stickler about the sharing of IP addresses, if your on an open wireless network, their system can wrongly identify you as trying to use their system to create falsified reviews.

They claim their methods for identifying this kind of behavior is more sophisticated, but from everyone that this has wrongly happened to, this is the common denominator.

They seem to select the content they want on their site. When I was a member there they arbitrarily approved my reviews as well as censuring me on their forums. There is nothing free about that site and they control the discussion and presentation in every way including having "TER approved" shillers throughout. I think they just got too big and arrogant personally. I mean it's a good thing that they are trying to stop provider written reviews but I don't think that's the whole story of what's going on there. When the owner was charged with hiring a hit man, I went on to see what was being said about it and there was practically nothing. I'm certain that something that controversial would have created a huge amount of conversation unless of course the people questioning it were censured...things that make you go "hmmm"

Lately, I have noticed that TER is VERY censored now. Many, Many, MANY of my most recent postings have been censored and disallowed altogether. Anytime I have questioned their methods or complained....... it doesn't show on the forum. Disallowed in my user account. Sorry, but it's like China now if you ask me.

They are too full of themselves in my opinion. A few posters (moderators?) who monopolize the whole conversation and if you say something they don't like your post magically (poof) disappears. Same thing with reviews although that part I just don't get...they seem very arbitrary with who gets thru.

In my area Long Island they only allow one agency in 631 to have reviews and one agency in 516. It seems like the people that know the owner and moderators get SPECIAL treatment.

It's also been stated many times that those who provide the owner with special treatment will also receive special treatment if you know what I mean;)

ter is a joke and has been since elms got popped. he was no gem and more than an asshole in all honesty.
He did know how to the keep board interesting, the new admin is no where near as discerning. I had already decided ter wasnt getting another review from me about 6 months ago i havent even chacked the board in two weeks.

I don't think you're the only one and I tend to agree that things have gone downhill. I stopped tuning in when the guy was accused of hiring a hitman to kill some other adult industry guy. That was the final straw for me, added to hearing a lot of stuff about providers being coerced to give mods (dave included) freebies.

I ignored this thread intentionally when it was first posted. My feeling was that talking about that site would just give them more publicity but what they heck, the mods here seem to be okay with it so who am I to judge. Anyway, I concur with what the rest have said, it's been awhile since I've bothered logging in there and my decision to not do so any longer was based on a number of things. It's never a good thing when a monopoly starts to flex it's muscle IMHO.

TER removes reviews at the request of providers that they like to keep happy. (edited, summary of orginal post, without any mention of specific names)

TER needs to stop sensoring everthing and let people speak freely. (edited after speaking freely proved to be bad)

I've heard this stuff time and again. What's the point of a discussion forum when it is completely orchestrated from above? And what's the point of reviews when the only ones that get through are the ones that say what the mod wants them to say? Sure, they have a shit-load of reviews but they won't be getting any more from me. They're good businessmen without a doubt. What gets me most though are that they have a few people on there who almost appear to be getting paid to write good things about the site. Anyone else notice that whenever a question comes up about where to find good escorts, the same guys repeatedly will say: "TER is the only place I ever use to meet escorts, all the rest are garbage"...I mean come on, these guys are getting perks for promoting the site.

I respect your opinions Ana but I think you missed Turtleboy's point. He was saying that her appearance did not warrant the 8's or 9's she had received. Appearance ratings have nothing to do with whether a provider has honest photos or not. The guy said he didn't give her a bad review, just that TER wouldn't accept the rating he gave her for appearance. Appearance is subjective and it's up to him to decide. You know the ins and outs of TER well and because of that I'm sure you realize that just because there is only one Virginia on that site now, does not mean that there weren't others in the past who have requested to be removed and subsequently won't show up in a search.

What a nightmare this has turned out to be, a hobbyist hangout forum full of bitchy providers. Perhaps NR should create a forum for the providers to vent to each other, so that if we hobbyist, in the hobbyist forum, want to discuss the differences between model material and an average women, we can without those women thinking we are attacking them. average does not mean ugly, they have scores for that, lots of them, and they are not the same.
I try to be very honest, fair, and positive in my reviews. I take chances on new girls without reviews, and give them one. I see well reviewed girls and add to their great reviews if the service is great, which it almost always is.
I never use a girls weight in a negative way, if I see a heavier girl, I am sure to mention in my reviews that I like that, and I found it to be sexy, and if a girls photos are accurate, I always make a point to say that.
If a girl does photoshop, I make a point to mention that I suspect that as well.
I am honest becuase I hope that all the reviews I rely on will be honest too.
