This site was once a place I came to share my expereinces and read on others, to help me decide where to spend my time, and with who. I came here to participate in the forum, and net work with other hobbyist, and even some providers, to share perspectives and information. Recently this forum has been turned into a migrain head ache for me, with everything I write, or don't write, do, or don't do, being completely assualted and labeled as the wrong action, or for not taking action, or the wrong words, or wrong for taking back words, or for writing none. So as much as I have enjoyed the conversations we have shared, and the many great aspects of this site, I am just not willing to deal with the nonsense any longer. I have a few friends to take with me, and will still meet Moe this week, since I told him I would, and I want to. But I am contacting Jerry with administration of this site and asking him to cancel my membership, and am looking forward to letting someone else take my positon as phoenix top contributer here. So just wanted to say good bye to everyone, and it has been fun talking to you, most of you. I would have left when the nonsense first started last week, but another hobbyist told me not to, that it would be giving them what they wanted. I am just to old for my hobby not to be completely enjoyable. Everyone else, keep up the great dialog and Hobby Safe.

Sorry to hear you won't be around man. There was certainly some drama in these parts and you sure seemed to get the short end of the stick. Hopefully you'll reconsider after this whole thing blows over. Certain others should probably hold their tongues until they have real evidence IMO.

As someone who has, ahem, made the same comment as you - albeit for different reasons, may I suggest you go into lurker mode until you feel a comfort level in returning. For hobbyists, this is supposed to be fun, not something that tightens the sphincter so tightly that we blow a gasket. Take a break from the posting, follow through with your meeting and come back when you are ready. NR will be here when you are ready. Stay safe y'all!

@ turtleboy. I hope that i didnt offend you myself but i wanted to know what was going on cause i never really heard of 2 hobbyist meeting up. Unless something really happened. I read about ur experience and you been through some shit. But dont let what goes on here stop you. you seem like a respectable person. And we are all here to share our experiences good or bad and to get feed back to help one another. I actually thank this site and all the other ppl here cause i would be out making a fool of myself if i did not have a support system to be honest. But hope you stay around. i'm pretty sure as soon as this all started, he went and posted in about 6 different threads right after me ... and i deliberately ignored him and i deliberately have not posted in any threads that he had posted in because i knew he would cry that he was getting attacked.

here's your big chance turtle.. besides the thread where YOU attacked a providers review credibility can you post a link to show us where you are being attacked in any other thread on this forum ... perhaps we could jump in and help defend you.

I read the thing about 3 times before I understood it, but it looks like when tb did prove himself he was said to be trying to hard, so he must be dishonest, and now that he has said he is tired of trying, it's not worth it to him, he is said to be giving up since he is said to be dishonest, but if anything it looks like his credibility has been proven beyond that of most other member, no other member has provided tangible proof of any kind to back up his reviews.
Then again I have only been reading the past three weeks, I have no idea how far this reached back.

all i really know is i talked to a guy on the phone for about 45 minutes that called my google voice number. he didnt sound like anyone i knew previously and had some familiarity with nr. im assuming he was tb or someone purporting to be him.
i may have also seen someone fitting the decription he gave me but then again maybe not.
i did think it was odd he called my gv number from a payphone instead of a cell however that could just as easily be explained as excessive shyness.
however studmuffin is right theres no way to assure it is really him even if i do meet him.

It looked to me like at first he tried not to say any name, and was just commenting on ter, then he was asked for a name, he gave it, it upset the person, so he then said he did not mean her, and attempted to clear her name, and every time he mentioned her name in the past and present, he has been very nice with the things he says about her, so I do not see how it is made to look like he is really someone pretending to be a hobbyist just to slander this person, because from what I have read, he has tried hard not to. Including removing the part where he said a name at all, so no more people in the future would see it. Slander?

Sure looks that way to me. I don't blame him for leaving, everything he did to prove himself was met with negative responses. I see why he fought to prove his honesty, but I don't see why he had to. The other thing about this that has bothered me, is the thing about the "at least 10 different IPS addresses" Well I certainly hope that these review sites are not giving out our IPS addresses to ANYONE that asks, this IS illegal stuff we are talking about, and then the other thing is I would think we could give naughty reviews and ter more credit than that, to not let such a thing happen, and then keep happening even after being broadcast on their own site.
