I'd consider you a regular too. Especially if I get the impression you schedule every time you have a business trip to my area. I have clients who are in Orlando twice a year on business, but who always make sure they schedule way ahead of time and see me every day they're here. Of course I'd consider them regulars... even if I've only seen them 8 times in 2 years.

I just found out that a lot of my regulars make it a "once a month" kind of thing. I just didn't notice until one of them started talking about it, and now I'm paying attention...

Probably has a lot to do with the volume of clients a provider sees. If she sees 6 dudes a day 5 days a week she's not gonna remember you after your third visit in three months.

Probably if we had a good and interesting email conversation before the first meeting, so I already felt a connection, and then he'd always schedule 2 weeks in advance so I have the appointment in the calendar the whole time, and he'd always leave a $100 tip.

IMHO - the frequency of visits is not a good determining factor for defining a regular. For example, I see a lady in Vegas everytime I go there, 2-3 times per year. Compared to her locals, my visits are nowhere near as frequent - but both of us consider me as a regular. I could be wrong, but I think if there is any repetition, the ladies tend to consider the guy a regular - but whether I am consider a regular or not is not as important as the lady remembering me.

theres one i see just about every week and another i see maybe 4 times a year (usually when my weekly and my backup both flake on me at the same time.) they both said im a regular fwiw.

I would consider a regular as someone whom is deemed a "repeat client". It doesn't matter how often I see them. It could be once a week or once a month, depending on their schedule and mine. Moreso, personally, a regular is someone whom I've established a good rapport with and who also decided to make that callback.

This is not a hard & fast rule, its a good question and in trying to answer it it caused us to reflect on how we applied the term - so, for us, "regular" is considered with the 3rd appointment within a time frame that we would recall / remember the previous 2 visits (a span of time up to about 6 months or so). Further, "regular" is a relative term, and in our case, we are pretty low volume, we take fewer than 12 dates a month.

I think that the third visit makes sense as far as considering a guy a regular too. The second visit could be more of a "nice to see you again" type of thing, but by the third visit you know he's likely going to come back for a fourth visit at some point.

my definition of a regular is just a dude i've seen before.

if i'm chatting with another girl and i say, i saw 4 regulars this week.. that just means 4 guys that i've seen before as opposed to 4 new clients.

it has nothing to do with the frequency of your visits.

it's just a differentiation between new business or repeat business.

That's my interpretation basically. If we remember each other that just about makes me a regular. I wonder how many guys see the same provider more than 10 times in a year?
