Should I be concerned when a provider does not do any screening? I have talked with some pretty extreme screeners, which I do not mind - it says that safety is important to them, which would be protecting me as well.
But I have recently spoken to a couple of providers that do not seem to screen at all.
Should I be concerned about this?
Appreciate any feedback.
When I was a new provider I will admit that I did not screen as well as I should have. If he wrote a great email and had good grammar that was enough for me. As I get older I am screening more thoroughly. Are the providers in question young?
Actually I have experienced it on both ends. One seemed to be younger and newer... The other, which really surprised me, was mid 30s and well reviewed.
The younger one didn't surprise me, as I figured it was her age, lack of experience, or worse lol
The other surprised and concerned me - which inspired this post.
I would say your concern is justified. I hate to say it, but as we get older we should be getting wiser. Screening someone is just good common sense.
I agree with Amy. I would certainly be concerned if there was no screening done.
Sometimes you're being screened and don't know it.
Now that I think anout it, you are right. There would be several ways that screening could take place without you knowing about it. But it would still make me kind of nervous if I didn't think that screening was taking place.

Care to explain?
I do understand "screening" for how someone carries their self, how the come across, etc... But that is simply one level.
My concern is that if you aren't looking for LE with me, then you could already have issues that I may walk into.
Just being safe
My concern is... how do I know its not LE on the other end? I don't mind answering questions during screening, but if its LE im talking to, then I just gave b them a lot of my personal info.
