Hey Jerome. I'm just curious. Do you find that you are discriminated against in the hobby for being an African American? Others have mentioned this to me but it's pretty hard to believe that in this day and age it would still be an issue.

Shouldn't have too much of a problem finding Asian ladies in LA.

Hey, I am African American, and I can say that I have had some providers turn me down when they voice. They ask if I am and when I say yes they turn me down. In fairness some have asked and then asked my age and because I am over 40 they say OK. I think they are trying to avoid the young black pimp type.

I think there are just as many young white pimp types. I'm a white guy but I wouldn't see a provider if I knew that she discriminated against other races....just don't think we'd get along.

I am an African American and don't feel that I was discriminated while hobbying. I try to get to know the girls and build mutual trust. I am not saying that it does't happen because everyone's experience is different. Being nice to the providers and respecting the mamasan's is important to enjoying the hobby.

I'm no expert by a longshot, but after 20+ years of parlor hopping, I can honestly say no matter what your color, age, looks or financial status in cannot hurt and only helps to be nice to the working ladies. I even wrote an article that got published in a national adult paper, nd coul do volumes here. I've been out of the loop a bit due to the bad economy but have jumped back in recently (lots of reviews just posted here) and made every effort to become friends with the ladies I've just met. Service with all was as good as it gets, from standard to incredible, but never uncomfortable or awkward.

Hey thanks Donalds. I guess i don't think this is any different than just being a decent person in general. Not getting political here, but the golden rule works here. Just treat people the way you expect to be treated by others. Not a direct quote, but you get the idea. All in all, I think race is an often over played card.

I am not naive by any means, but I can only speak from personal experience.

Nice discussion guys. I do know some ladies that don't see African Americans. I've asked them why not and it's their preference. I don't view it as discriminatory. As a rule, I don't see African American or Asian providers. I've been with both several times over the years and it's just not the experience I looking for. Whites and Latinas are my thing. So, I view it as a preference as the ladies I've discussed it with.

My thoughts tend to lean your way. For the most part Asians dominate this industry, but I would welcome any provider as along as she is clean and with warm personality. A beautiful woman is a beautiful woman period. As you said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I would gladly accept a massage from a pretty White provider, but there are not many in the parlors in the South Bay. Mostly Asian, Latina in my circles, but with the assistance of NR and discussions like this, my car can find other LA areas for those experiences. Right now I am exploring my local area.

In my own 20+ years of so-called "experience", 98% of the providers I've spent time with have been full or mixed-race Asians. I've had 2 sessions very early on in my adult life with white ladies and both were rude, and unresponsive to the point of "massage only". I'm certain it was more than partly my own fault, being ingnorant and clumsy in in understanding the ways of the MP world, but their "customer service" left much to be desired even if I had been around a bit more.

Asians, I found on average to be much more welcoming, gracious and acomidating, but I've had my share of disappointments with them too. Not by any choice, concious or otherwise, but Hispanics/Latinas I've experienced so rarely, nor have I enjoyed the company of an African American, so I have no opinion on their bedside manor. I would greatly love to find some attractive, quality women of these races to visit with with some regularity.
