I'm heading back to town after a brief time traveling. I wanted to know if they are still trying to push through the law that would make dancers in strip clubs stay at least 6-feet away from the customers? This in my opinion is the last thing that this city needs. We are known for being open-minded people and I think this would be a disaster for the city. Last year they brought in a by-law in Ohio that has made strip clubs almost Disney like and I really hope they don't make the same mistake here. Anyone know if this law has a chance of going through? I was in New Orleans a while back and was not impressed by the strip clubs in the French Quarter. I felt them to be expensive tourist traps. I assumed that there must be other clubs for locals in another area but I never could find any. The six foot rule would make the clubs even less enjoyable.
I highly doubt that they will ever bring in that rule in New Orleans because they simply can't afford to threaten the tourism industry at this stage. New Orleans is still recovering and I'd imagine that if anything they would lessen restrictions! I've only visited New Orleans once and it was a number of years ago but I seem to remember going to a couple of much better local clubs that were located away from the strip...anyone remember where those are? I'm planning to go back there in a few weeks and would like to see if those clubs are still standing.
You have to keep in mind that most of the strip clubs in and around Bourbon Street are heavily geared to tourists and they aren't as wild as they used to be. Different guys like different things when they go out to clubs and I personally don't look for more than the occasional LD. I remember things at Passions getting pretty heated way back when.
Downman road has one or two... I believe there's one on the 4400 block that's very good. I had a good time. Good luck.

Correction: 4000 downman = Visions. Nice club (neighborhood was, likely still is, recovering), I tip the guy who's near the front door and nothing touched my car. It's peaceful in there: lust, nudity and no violence.
There used to be a Big Daddy's on Bourbon that was pretty wild. Sadly, it's not longer there.
I fingered two girls at the same time during a LD one night.
