As a reply to the telling the cops what they want to hear: They are allowed to lie to you if it will 'help their investigation', remember their job IS to arrest you and make their charges stick. So when they say 'just tell us the truth and we will go easy on you', going easy on you would be not asking you about it, asking for a confession is an 'investigation' to gather evidence to make their charges stick.

I am willing to bet jail, or are lying low waiting for their court dates to get sentenced. It's so wrong.
