Whenever I'm at a Meet & Greet or an industry party, gentlemen come up to me & tell me they have been wanting to meet me, but they haven't taken the initiative b/c they just know that I'm so busy. Now I don't mean to sound full of myself & I'm not, I'm just telling it like it is. It's flattering & sweet, but by the end of the night I can't help but get frustrated, thinking of all the business I'm losing, all b/c of sheer assumption. Now I used to think that the guys just say things like that simply b/c they want to compliment a lady, but how could they all possibly come up with the exact same compliment? But while I guess it is still a compliment, they are saying it b/c they really do mean it. Really?

So let's shed some new light on this... if everyone who wanted to see me, didn't call, based on the assumption that everyone is calling & making me so busy, then think about just how busy I would be.

That's kind of how the child drowns in the pool at a family reunion. Everybody assumes that with all the family members scattered about, someone is surely monitoring his safety.
