What Kind of a Girl?

 

Most of us are taught from a fairly young age that sex is a private thing, to be kept locked away and not discussed. Sex education at schools still gets hillbillys up in arms and pornography isn’t allowed to be seen by anyone under 18 (technically). Movies featuring rampant decapitations are often given a PG-13 rating while a movie that shows bush would be rated R. It’s a weird world. Given that, one has to wonder, just what kind of girls decides that having sex is going to be how she pays the bills.

 

The typical, or rather stereotypical, idea of an escort is perhaps a woman who is uneducated by gets by on her looks. The word slut would likely be bandied around by some folks as well, because all that books and covers and judging business is just a part of human nature. Some people only want to see in black and white, which is a shame, because full color boobies are way nicer.

 

The truth of the matter is many different kinds of women get into escorting and, as with any profession, some will be good, some bad. Odds are you’ve never had a job where everyone was a complete saint, nor was everyone a total asshole. Maybe 99% of them were assholes, but usually there’s that one person who doesn’t suck the life from you. Usually. 

 

Some women lead two completely different lives in the escorting world and, in fairness, work should be separated from your “real life” so that’s probably OK. In New Zealand a few months back a junior high teacher was caught moonlighting as an escort, which once gain causes me to regret my time in school where I was lucky to have any female teachers that didn’t look like Shrek. But that aside, as prostitution is legal in New Zealand, there may be nothing anyone can do about it at the school which would instantly make her the most popular teacher at PTA meetings.

 

A couple years back the former office manager of a Meals on Wheels office was found to be an escort and while at first it seems like you may have the case of a really nice girl who did charity work for a living who escorted on the side, it should also be noted she apparently stole a metric fuckton of cash from the charity as well.

 

You may not be able to believe every escort’s website or story about herself, after all she probably wasn’t born with the name Ravynne so you can’t guarantee she really has a degree in biophysics and plans on writing a novel, but if you dig enough you can drum up stories that share all manner of facts.

 

After one hour of intense hooker related research, it became clear that escorts could start their own UN with the variety of backgrounds they have. In 27 stories that mentioned the other jobs held by the women, the results were:

Most people tend to want to paint anyone in the sex industry with the same brush, but obviously there’s a lot of extra stuff going on behind the scenes.  Whether this makes you feel better, worse or indifferent about being a hobbyist may not matter, but in any event you have a 1 in 27 chance of the girl you’re with being a nurse in case you start choking on her clit ring or something, so it’s a damn good thing that escorts are just regular folks like the rest of us, albeit ones who put out for cash. Gold bless ‘em.
